Gooseberry Falls State Park is only minutes north of our home on Highway 61. For groceries, gas, boat launch, etc. proceed south on Highway 61 to the city of Two Harbors. Further north on Highway 61 is the Split Rock Lighthouse and park. Lutsen ski resort is one hour north on Highway 61 and the charming town of Grand Marais is 1 ½ hours north on Highway 61. There are parks with excellent hiking trails between our home and Grand Marais. The Lake Superior Hiking Trail can be found behind the Rustic Inn off County Road 106 and a snowmobile trail may be found through the parking lot at the Rustic Inn.
